Focus Areas / Clinical Interests
My passion for trauma work in clinical counseling is personal- it comes from my own experience with trauma. I know what it feels like to carry wounds and search for safety and understanding.
What inspired you to pursue a career in behavioral health?
What inspired me to pursue a career in behavioral health was my own journey through trauma and healing. Experiencing the impact of mental health struggles firsthand ignited a desire in me to be that person for others.
Are there any particular approaches or modalities you tend to lean on or really believe in when working with clients?
CBT, DBT, and talk therapy. Talk therapy creates a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their thoughts and experiences as well as it allows them to make sense of the world, process painful memories, and develop healthier ways of coping.
