What inspired you to pursue a career in behavioral health?
Going through treatment myself and wanting to help others as I was helped before. I remember being hesitant to do aftercare. Having the opportunity to encourage people make that leap and to change their life has been rewarding.
Are there any particular approaches or modalities you tend to lean on or really believe in when working with clients?
I think it’s important to help people find some purpose outside themselves as they’re getting sober and mentally well. Finding a strong community that you can rely on is key. Also, working to accept the things in life that we can’t change and focusing our efforts on the things we have control over.

I love to go backpacking and hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 4 months!
