Registered Alcohol and Drug Counselor (RAC)
Education Background
I’m currently completing my Addiction Studies program at Long Beach City College to earn my CADC certification. After that, I plan to continue my education in Business Administration, working toward both a bachelor’s and master’s degree. My academic and professional journey reflects a commitment to continuous growth and a deep passion for supporting others.
Years of Experience
I’ve been working in the behavioral health field for approximately four years.
Focus Areas / Clinical Interests
I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals living with co-occurring disorders—those facing both substance use and mental health challenges. Helping people find balance and strength in the midst of difficult transitions is at the core of my work
What inspired you to pursue a career in behavioral health?
My own experience with co-occurring disorders and entering treatment was a turning point in my life. A counselor I met during that time played a pivotal role in my recovery, and their impact inspired me to shift from a career in sales to one focused on healing and connection. That personal journey continues to fuel my dedication to helping others.
Approaches or Modalities
I value and often utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). These approaches emphasize empathy, connection, and collaboration—tools I believe are essential for creating lasting, positive change.
Personal Touch - Fun Fact or Hobbies
I’m a proud father of two amazing boys. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me singing, surfing, fishing, or spending time outdoors with my family. I believe in living with intention and joy, and I bring that same energy to the work I do with clients.
